READINESS FOR SCHOOL OPENING IN OUTBREAK OF CORONAVIRUS DISEASE 2019 FOR WANG SAPHUNG MUNICIPAL SCHOOL 1, WANG SAPHUNG MUNICIPALITY, LOEI PROVINCE

Abstract

               The objectives of the research article were (1) to study readiness of Wang Saphung Municipal School 1, Wang Saphung Municipality, Loei province, for school opening during the outbreak of coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19), and (2) to study suggestions on preparation for school opening of Wang Saphung Municipal School 1, Wang Saphung Municipality, Loei province during the Covid-19 pandemic. The population of the research was a total of thirty teachers, Wang Saphung Municipal School 1, Wang Saphung Municipality, Loei province; the twenty-seven samples were selected through Krejcie and Morgan’s calculating table. The instrument used for data collection was the five-point rating scale questionnaire. The statistics used for data analysis comprised of mean (x̄) and standard deviation (S.D.).

               Learning, Financial management, Safety from reducing the spread of infection, Welfare and protection, policy, and coverage of underprivileged children respectively. And suggestions Can be sorted as follows: 1) Masks should be provided for students who have forgotten them sufficiently. 2) There is a provision for washing hands by foot. 3) Should provide a barrier between the school desk. 4) Should be strict in measures. Student shuttle service and 5) There should be additional personnel to look after the students. The research results were as follows: (1) The school opening readiness of Wang Saphung Municipal School 1, Wang Saphung Municipality, Loei, was found to be overall at the highest level. Separately considered in the descending order, the aspects were learning, financial management, safety from infection reduction, welfare and protection, policies, and underprivileged child coverage, respectively. (2) The suggestions on preparation of Wang Saphung Municipal School 1, Wang Saphung Municipality, Loei province for school opening in the Covid-19 outbreak were as follows: (1) The sufficient medical masks should be prepared in case the students forgot their own ones. (2) The foot-operated hand-washing place was prepared. (3) The partition shields between desks should be sufficiently provided. (4) The measures on school vehicles should be restricted at the highest level. (5) More teachers and officials should be provided to look after the students.
