SĀRĀNIYADHAMMA-BASED ADMINISTRATION OF SUB-DISTRICT ADMINISTRATION ORGANIZATIONS IN PHON THONG DISTRICT, ROI ET PROVINCE

Abstract
The objectives of the research article were (1) to study the Sārāniyadhamma-based administration of Sub-district Administration Organizations (SAOs) in Phon Thong district, Roi Et province, (2) to compare the Sārāniyadhamma-based administration of SAOs in Phon Thong district, Roi Et province, classified by SAO personnel’s position and job experience. The population of the research was a total of SAO personnel from nine SAOs in Phon Thong district, Roi Et province, and the 134 samples, consisting of 45 executives and 89 employees, were selected through Taro Yamané’s sampling-size calculating formula. The instrument used for data collection was the five-point rating scale questionnaire. The statistics used for data analysis comprised of mean (x̄) and standard deviation (S.D.), the t-test for independent samples, and one-way ANOVA.
The results of the research were as follows: (1) The Sārāniyadhamma-based administration of SAOs in Phon Thong district, Roi Et province was found to be overall at a high level. The aspect with the highest mean level was the administration based on Sīlasāmaññatñ (keeping without blemish or the rules of conduct along with one’s fellows), followed by the administration based on Diṭṭhisāmaññatñ (endowment with right views along with one’s fellows) and the administration based on Sādhāraṇabhogī (sharing any lawful gains with virtuous fellows), and the aspect with the lowest level was the administration based on Mettāvacīkamma (amiability in speech). (2) The comparison of the Sārāniyadhamma-based administration of SAOs in Phon Thong district, Roi Et province, was found to be overall and separately different at a statistically significant level of 0.05; the mean scores from SAO executives were found to be higher than those from SAO employees. (3) The comparison of the Sārāniyadhamma-based administration of SAOs in Phon Thong district, Roi Et province, classified by SAO personnel’s work experience, was found to be different at a statistically significant level of 0.05; the implementation of Sārāniyadhamma-based administration of SAOs in Phon Thong district, Roi Et province, by the personnel with 5-10 year work experience was found to be higher than those with over-10-year work experience and with 1-5 year work experience, respectively.
